TIP of the day: Look where u walk! hehe...today I walked past 5 dog poos! And 3 new poo piles on my way home! hehe

But besides poos, there are actually quite a nice scenery along the way to office from my house...I love the weather here too!

On a serious note, somebody should do something about those poos!!! :)

This is the nearest shopping street, about 10 mins walk from my house. Nice, today i tried the turkish chicken kabab for dinner! BTW, did I tell u guys today I survived on one apple the whole day.

Appliance shopping today!

You cannot imagine the happiness in me now...I have my first hot milo in my hands now!

Finally.......hot food....



Got these appliances and stuffs at a shop named "Blokker" near my house. Best, I got the wrong sized bulb for my table lamp...darn, shall try to get that changed tomorrow...and if they dun change, i will COMPLAIN! hehe....hmm, singaporean style. :)

BTW, I think I am turning vegetarian. Been having a fruit and vegetable diet so far...except for my few pieces of Bak Gua left, basically I am on a No-Meat diet...

Oh, later I can heat up the Cup-O-Soup! Cool!

About my work, did I tell you guys that I am loving my job!There are so many new things and challenges for me in FIP...hehe, maybe cos its just my first month...haha, anyway, I am begining to read a lot of International pharmacy stuffs, WHO stuffs, FIP projects, Congress preparations, and there are a lot of public health issues that I am reading.

Tomorrow will be a good day too, cos I am going to the immigration office to get my residence permit, then to the Hague's municipal hall to get myself registered with a SOFI number too, for the bank account and tax stuffs.

Alritey, have to make my dinner now!

My first day!

Hihi...

Wow! Today is my first day at work!!

Walked 25 mins from my house to this office and now....me sitting nicely here..haha, darn, forgot the camera today, Will take some nice photos along the way and also of the office.

Another thing i forgot - the power cable for my laptop!!! Oh man....this is not working well for a first day..hee

Well, I guess I will have to use the old computer here...i think it runs on Win98!

Hmm, I think I will start to tidy up the office a little cos later at 11am I have a meeting with my boss.

Okay, I only have 3 hrs on my laptop now...sigh...haiz....oh well, such is life....

I still havent seen any cats around here...lots of dogs' poo though...haha

1. A Tiak Tiak for my gas stove cooker - I need hot water!

4. AA batteries for my alarm clock - i actually bought AAA batteries....hmmm dun seem to fit

7. Cushion cover for my wide sofa - I wonder what kind of cover can I get for it?

11. Broom and dustpan

My new apartment finally....:)

Hihi..

Wow, cant imagine how I managed to lug all those new furniture back from IKEA! The IKEA here is at least 3 timnes bigger than the one in Singapore! Nice place, and they have the hotdogs and drinks at the counter too! Had two, that was my lunch for today....:)

Today I felt like a really homely guy, hammering, screwing, fixing furniture from IKEA is one hell-of-sweat activity! Shack but really fun too! Did my goceries today too, bought lots of fruits, drinks and more fast food eats. Haha, initially I wanted to buy some condiments and herbs, but gave up in the end cos I couldnt understand the dutch labels! Realised that its quite tough to chose which are the better toilet bowl washing liquid and the dish washing ones...hehe...looks like I havent been really doing much housework in Singapore! Well, learning time!

First nite!

Hihi all,

Wow, can't believe that I am really relocated in the Hague now. Today was crazy! Arrived in the Schipol airport at about 0645am. Waited almost two hours for my bags to come out on the belts. Lugged them out (all 43.5kg) to the taxi stand and managed to get a taxi to the FIP office. Guess how much is the fare? IT cost me 160 euros!!!!! That works out to at least 320 sing bucks! *FWAH*

Anyway..........managed to get to the office even though my taxi driver didnt really know the way. We had to follow another taxi (his fren) to the office. Although he had this 4000 euros GPS system setup in the mercedes taxi...oh well...

Once I got to the office about 10am, I had a meeting at 1030am to discuss my work portfolio. Not bad, massive stuffs though. Hehe..

At 1pm, went to check out my apartment. And, the worst was, they didnt had my lights fixed yet and I mean no bulbs at all! No table, no chair and I had the tv on the stove! Well, not too bad actually. :) The apartment smells really new with the new coat of paint. Tomorrow I am going to IKEA to get my furniture!

So, in the late afternoon, I went back to the IPSF apartment to sleep and I jus woke up at 2330pm..:)

Thanks to all my frens in FIP and IPSF, I think I survived my first day!! COol!

Okay, going to finish up my pizza and ceylon tea now....

Will post photos when I can get my laptop on the wireless, hopefully tomorrow in my new apartment!
