Awesome First week anniversary!

hihi guys,

Today is a good day...no...I should say again...Today is an Awesome day!! And Today marks my First Week Anniversay! Cool...and today is a good day because:

1. I went to Chinatown of the Hague and when I saw this Chinese supermart, I went wild! haha....its really nice to be able to see something familair when you are in a foreign country..and i was like...now THIS is living!! And so,...I almost went on a grocery spree and almost couldnt control myself..haha...well....here's a photo of what I got from the mart. Not too much actually, I plan to go back again! Definitely!

Okay, I am still going to live on Instant-Food for a while..hehe....

2. Today is a good day also because me, Myriah (my partner) and Teresa (my mentor), we had dinner in a fantabulous eating place. Solids!! Its my first REAL cooked meal!!

We had orange ginerbread langoustine nuggets with lemon-vanila oil and crispy confit duck-shi-take mushroom, handrolled in steamed rice pancake topped with lime curd for starters, with a glass of sparkling and a taste of zinfandel. Sounds really cool rite? This is a place that any of you guys who are visiting the Hague or me..hehe, SHOULD go! I think they have really creative cusine style that matches up to its real taste. Super good stuffs.

Our main meals were creamy horseradish bluefinn tuna purslane cous-cous lasagna with red wine soup (for teresa), green aspargus stuffed scallop-tortilla topped with black sesame prawns and cilantro pesto (for Myriah) and I had sauteed quaibreasts-artichoke hearts-brocolli stamps with cumin cheese ravioli's and curry beurre blanc. Bon Apetite!

Such a pity that none of us brought a camera! Super Darn!

Well, I found that the coolio place has a website, so check it out whoever is coming to the Hague! hehe...

3. Today is a good day also because I found out a little more about my neighbourhood. I found out that thursday is grocery day and shops close late at 9pm. Also, more importantly, fridays are garbage days. Hehe, did I tell u guys that I have this pile of rubbish and IKEA boxes lying in a corner of my living room that is taking up almost 10% of the living space...hehe...Anyway, I am so glad I just carried them downstairs for the garbage collectors tomorrow morning.

4. Today is a good day because I finally met my neighbour, he lives next door. We met while we were bringing our rubbish downstairs. Hehe...his name is Bert (I hope I get the spelling right), dutch, and his hometown is somewhere south of the Netherlands (I cant pronouce the town name) hehe...

Anyway, he seems like a nice guy, doing some real estate work, and he was telling me about this vietnamese girl whom he met at work today...hehe....

So, in conclusion, today is a good day. :)
