Hihi all,
Today I realised that I may need glucosamine 1500m!! I actually had knee pain when I was vacuuming my apartment! Oh no..jialat liao...haha...today is Home Cleaning day. In the morning, I went to do my laundry....haha...that was also very funny!
This is a confession of an oyster - In my past 27 years, I haven't really use a washing machine all my by myself. I can't operate it!! Damm sad...haha, i was like darn....wait, what does this button to do? Numbers? Symbols...Whatever....it doesn't help when everything is in Dutch! Wait, there is a instruction manual on the floor.....darn, it's in ducth, french, finnish, russian, japanese, korean, german.......AND actually NO ENGLISH! Where did these guys buy their washing machine??? Then best, being a technical guy, in a way, I actually went online to search for an online manual for this washer! The model is Whirlpool infinity. And I can't find the model of the washer on the Whirlpool website! Well, maybe DC liao....haiz....whatever again. I just press some button and get that washer going...somehow....And I did it! Now I figured that the numbers mean the number of pieces of clothes u put in. Funny thing is I actually put the washing powder onto the clothes, close the door, and get it going....only to realise that there is this drawer-like thing on the side and I pulled it out and found washing powder remains. Hmmm,...darn, THAT is where you put washing powder! hehe....
Anyway, here is the photo of my washing machine upstairs. It's communal.
Okay, after washing, now comes drying. That was very interesting too. As you know, my house doesn't have a dryer so that means I haven't done it before. And both the washer and dryer is very different from the ones I had in PGP then in my hostel days...
Anyway, once again, everything is in Dutch so I can't understand the buttons. But this was easier to figure out. Whirlpool had some sense to put diagrams and flowchart in this manual. Hmm, I think the dryer dept is smarter than their washer dept. Anyway, I figured that ok. Just that I realised that longer time doesn't mean better option. I chose the driest mode and long mode. And WHEN i colllected my clothes, they were super damm hot!! I was so afraid that the material of the clothes melt or something! Esp the dri-fit ones....PHEW! I am never going to put them for so long in the dryer now.
So here is the photo of my dryer
Ironing was that bad at all. :)
Now comes vacuuming. That was when I had knee pain when I was like on my knees and vacuuming every inch of this plywood flooring. Quite nice to make the floor clean...despite the pain. I think I shall get a broom too, for those lazy days...hehe
Here is a photo of my Black & Decker vacuum cleaner. I quite like it.
Okay, that marks the first full day of Home-Cleaning.....:)
